Ultimax
The re-branded general replacement disc pad range including all the new features and benefits of our new upgraded manufacturing plant in Bristol. All products in the Ultimax range are R90 approved. New AF42/66 friction material completely eliminates judder and produces a high friction long lasting pad. All pads feature centre line slot which prevents heat expansion cracks and reduces brake noise, and edge chamfers which have major technical benefots especially on European brake systems. Unique powder coating to both pad and back plate gives lifetime resistance to corrosion and prevents moisture ingress. Unique Brake-InTM surface coating provides instant brake efficiency on installation and conditions the brake rotor, removing glaze, black spotting etc from disc surface.
Greenstuff
There have been many versions of this fabulous brake compound over the 7 years that it has existed but the latest formulation AF44/78 is surely one of the finest performance brake compounds ever to be sold plus has the benefits of being a low dust material. Redstuff
Since this material was introduced in late 2003, it has received many positive write ups from performance drivers of faster cars such as the Impreza. It emits far less dust than semi-metallic pads and has been proven to stop a saloon car 13 metres quicker than OEM pads from 100mph/160kph.*
Yellowstuff
Although a full race material and capable of high temperature use with very good wear life, this new formulation sets a new trend in race type brake pad compounds. The "bite" from cold is superb which is uncommon with race materials (normally requiring warm-up) and makes this a pad which can be safely used on the highway as well as on the race track. This new formulation was used by numerous championship race and rally drivers in 2005/6 and is truly a milestone in brake pad material development. NOW R90 APPROVED for highway use on certain high specification roadgoing vehicles such as FTO, GTO, Evo, Impreza, M3, M5, Porsche, Skyline.
Bluestuff
The longest lasting of the EBC brake pad materials family and is designed for heavier and faster sedans/passenger cars/muscle cars in track use. EBC Brakes has had great success using this material in longer races with the Australian touring car champion Peter Brock and in the UK on the Vauxhall Monaro driven by Matt Griffin and Phil Andrews, and in France on the Porsche 911 series. Bluestuff has a nominal friction coefficient of 0.55, good temperature stability up to 1000°F and higher, with significant lifetime making it capable of withstanding 3-5 hour duration races.
Greenstuff 6000 Series
An excellent solution for 4x4 use, this heavy duty Greenstuff formulation has slightly lower friction than ts 2000 series counterpart but has the benefit of longer life and better resistance to offroad conditions of dust and sand etc. It has an extremely low rotor wear factor and medium-to-good lifetime.
Greenstuff 7000 Series
For a small price premium over the 6000 series these pads are THE ULTIMATE SUV FRONT END PAD. These pads will stop faster and last longer with almost zero brake dust and are EBC's premium offering for heavy 4x4s. These pads are GUARANTEED noise free. Average friction coefficient 0.45mm. The features and benefits of this new SUV Supreme Range include : Chamfered and slotted, Factory shimmed with triple layer Wolverine shims, Coated with friction accelerator for fast bed-in.
Ultimax Slotted
These discs feature a new slot pattern that is far quieter in operation than the popular 3GD series making them ideal for prestige cars where improved sport braking is required but noise is a no-go. The Ultimax series features a new electrostatically applied polymer based paint which provides superb corrosion resistance on the rotor body which has been proven in the industry standards salt spray tests to last between 2-5 years in service use.
3GD Series
The ever popular 3GD series now reduced to a three slot pattern is a firm favourite with sport enthusiasts due to its ability to reduce brake temperatures by approximately 100°C. These discs were recently awarded the Metropolitan Police Met Test pass certification and are now the choice of many UK police forces on chase cars due to their unsurpassed braking performance in combination with EBC Yellowstuff brakes. The wide aperture construction of the 3GD series actually pulls cool air underneath the pad surface. 3GD series is also preferred by 4x4 drivers due to its ability to expel water, dirt & debris from the braking area.
